Cascais, once a sleepy fishing village now awoken to host past Portuguese kings, sun loving holiday-makers and of course our own, wave seeking surf folk. But we can’t spend all of our time in the sea chasing swells (as much as we may all want to).

Cascais is a village located 30 minutes from Lisbon. It is one of the most appreciated tourist destinations in Portugal, surrounded by wonderful beaches, gardens and historic villas and palaces. Cascais is also a natural paradise for surfers, with world-class waves all year round. After an amazing surfing session, you can have a delicious dinner, choosing one of the many fresh seafood restaurants spread around this village.

 

A sublime cuisine, friendly and hospitable people, world class-waves and fantastic weather, makes Cascais a privileged destination.

HISTORICAL CENTRE

The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

 

Get lost in the narrow and picturesque streets of the old town Cascais.

Cascais, known as the Portuguese Surf Capital, is a stage of many National and International Surf Events. 

One of the highlights is the Surf Out event that take place every September in Estoril.

SINTRA 

THE CAPITAL OF ROMANTICISM

Located 20 minutes away from Cascais, is one of those magical places where man and nature come together in perfect harmony.

Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has an unrivalled heritage with unique palaces and castles surrounded by lush nature. The cultural landscape of the Serra and the town of Sintra represents a pioneering approach to Romantic landscaping that had an outstanding influence on developments elsewhere in Europe.

 

Our beautiful Surf Villa is located in a privileged place if you want to access Sintra by Uber, Bus or your own car.

LISBON

A BREATHTAKING EUROPEAN CAPITAL

Just 30 minutes from Cascais,

Lisbon will steal your heart!

 

Lisbon is one of the main capitals of the ”Old World” and almost 900 years after its foundation, the origins, the people and the light are still there, growing together with all the buzz, music and fashion.

 

Famous for Fado, it's historical buildings and monuments, gastronomy, nightlife, and concerts, offers a unique experience filled with charm, history and fun.

 

Take a beautiful train ride from Cascais and arrive in the center of Lisbon in just 30mins.

SURF SPOTS 

CARCAVELOS

Ideal beach break for all kinds of surfers, beginners to professionals. Works with all types of swells and north wind is straight offshore. Venue to national and international competitions

Best Season: From October till June

Distance: 15min by Car / 25min by Train

SÃO PEDRO DO ESTORIL

Long right point break, ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers. Also good for beginners due to the soft and long white water waves. Works with the same swell and wind as Carcavelos.

Best Season: From October till June

Distance: 15min by Car / 25min by Train

GUINCHO

Long stretch beach with golden sand dunes under the Sintra Mountains. Really exposed to the swell and to the wind. Also venue for national and international surf / kitesurf competitions.

Best Season: From June till October

Distance: 5min by Car / 10min by Bus

PRAIA PEQUENA & GRANDE

One of the most consistent breaks near Cascais, you will always find some waves there. Really protected from the wind and hosts the Bodyboard World Tour event in August.
