Surf Atlas - Surf Trips in Portugal & Worldwide by Surf Cascais


After more than a decade welcoming guests from all over the world at Surf Cascais, one thing has always stood out: the way people connect.


Day after day, strangers become friends, sharing waves, beers, stories, beach trips, dinners, and plenty of laughs. There’s a natural flow, a lightness, a feeling of people coming together and that’s what truly makes the experience special, both in and out of the water.


Many of our community members have joined Surf Cascais trips before, particularly to the Maldives since 2018. Every time, it became evident that there is a desire for more: exploring new waves, discovering new coastlines, experiencing new cultures, and connecting with like-minded people who share the same values and energy.


Surf Atlas Co is the natural next step: a Surf Cascais sub-brand created to bring our community together on small-group surf trips across Portugal and the world. The “Co” stands for Collective, because it’s all about people connecting, sharing, and enjoying surf adventures together.

Because it’s not just about surfing. It’s about discovering new places and creating real connections with the same energy we see every day in Surf Cascais, now taken beyond our home break.

Upcoming Surf Atlas Trips


We’re starting this new chapter with two trips that represent exactly what Surf Atlas is all about; exploring new places, surfing great waves and travelling in a small group of like-minded surfers.


Sagres Carnival Search Trip—13th until 17th of February 2026


Our first adventure takes us to the wild southwest of Portugal, probably my favourite stretch of coastline in the world. A 5-day trip based in a beautiful local bed & breakfast, blending surf sessions across the south and west coasts, relaxed group dinners, and an easygoing road-trip feeling. Small group, private rooms, surf coaching, and the familiar Surf Cascais vibe, just in a new setting.


Maldives Central or South Atolls — 3rd until13th of April2026


A classic Surf Cascais journey we’ve been running for years but now under the Surf Atlas umbrella. Ten nights on board in a trusted boat, chasing perfect turquoise waves, exploring the Central Atolls and living the simple routine of surf, eat, relax, repeat. Warm water, clean surf, and a great crew. No pressure, just pure fun.


More trips in Portugal and beyond will follow as the collective grows.
